The Central Coast 2023 Junior Rugby League Season will see the implementation of the Player Development Framework Policy. This developmental framework is designed to attract, develop and nurture all rugby league participants regardless of their age, ability or stage of development. This Framework has been developed by the NRL for the game of Rugby League with evidence based research and considerations from the Top representatives of the game.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK POLICY IMPLEMENTATION
[*The Player Development Framework Policies that has been developed by the National Rugby League and approved for implementation by New South Wales Rugby League to bring it into line with Queensland Rugby League in 2023 are as follows:
- Under 6s – League Tag for full season
- Under 7s – League Tag for start of season while players are taken through the NRL Tackle Ready Program, then tackle post 1 June (as per Under 6s in 2022)
- Under 9s – Development competition / no ladders maintained, no finals series and no premierships.
The phase in plan will see the development competition model aged up to Under 10s in 2023, Under 11s in 2022 and Under 12s in 2025.
The Tackle Ready Program for Under 7s will be facilitated by Tackle Ready Deliverers at your Club during Under 7s training. It is a 6 week structured program which takes the players through safe tackling technique. Post 1 June the League can host an Under 7s Tackle Gala Day and the remainder of the season will be played as tackle.]
